The Eaton Tripp Lite series SmartPro SMART500RT1U is a compact 500VA / 300W line-interactive UPS designed for point-of-sale systems, kiosks, VoIP equipment, networking hardware, security systems, and small server-room applications. It provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, surges, and line noise.
The UPS includes six NEMA 5-15R outlets, with battery-backed and surge-protected connections for critical equipment plus a surge-only outlet for devices that do not require battery support. It offers up to 14.6 minutes of runtime at half load and approximately 3.2 minutes at full load, helping users safely save work and shut down connected equipment during longer outages.
Automatic Voltage Regulation maintains a regulated 120V output during low-voltage conditions without using battery power. The internal lead-acid battery is hot-swappable and typically recharges in about four hours. USB, serial, and EPO connections provide local management options, while an optional network management card can add SNMP and remote monitoring capabilities.
Its 1U rack/tower design supports installation in rack enclosures or upright tower configurations, with mounting accessories included. Front-panel LEDs and audible alarms provide quick status information for power, load, battery, and fault conditions. PowerAlert software is included for monitoring and unattended shutdown, and the SMART500RT1U is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
