The Eaton Tripp Lite series SmartRack SR42UB is a 42U full-size server rack enclosure designed for data centers, server rooms, and enterprise IT environments. It supports standard 19-inch rack equipment and provides a high load capacity of up to 3,000 lb for servers, networking gear, storage systems, and related hardware.
The enclosure is designed for strong front-to-rear airflow and is compatible with hot-aisle/cold-aisle configurations. Integrated baying tabs make it easier to connect multiple racks together in rows, making the SR42UB well suited for expanding data center installations.
Front and rear vertical mounting rails feature square mounting holes and can be adjusted from 4 to 42 inches in quarter-inch increments. Numbered rack spaces help simplify equipment placement and installation, while the split rear door design allows the enclosure to be positioned closer to a wall.
For security and maintenance, the SR42UB includes locking, reversible, and removable front and rear doors, along with locking removable side panels. The half-size side panel design makes handling easier during installation and service. The rack ships fully assembled, supports PCI DSS-related physical security requirements, and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
